The original 50 card places were quickly claimed, but we’re now taking applications from people who live on Skye and intend to use the sauna at least once per month. Tell us a little about yourself and how you plan to visit.
Who should apply?
Skye sauna regulars
- You currently live on the Isle of Skye.
- You intend to use Portree Sauna at least once per month.
- You can provide your Skye address so we can confirm eligibility.
- You understand applications are reviewed and a card is not guaranteed.
What happens next?
We’ll review your Skye residency, intended visit frequency and application answers, then contact you with an update. Submitting an application does not guarantee a card.

Terms & exclusions
How do I apply for a Local Discount Card?
Complete the application form with your contact details, Skye address, preferred visit times and intended sauna use. Applications are for Skye residents who expect to visit at least once per month.
Does the discount apply to my first booking?
Yes. The standard £22 individual seat costs £16.50 from your very first eligible booking, provided the £1 Local Discount Card is included in the same completed booking.
How long does the card last?
The first-year card costs £1 and runs for 12 months from purchase. Portree Sauna will honour the local rate for that full first-year term. The scheme remains intended to continue until at least 1 August 2027.
How is Skye residency checked?
The card is for people who live on the Isle of Skye. We’ll collect your residential address after sign-up and may ask for reasonable evidence to confirm eligibility.
What does the discount cover?
The Local Discount Card reduces one eligible standard £22 individual sauna seat to £16.50. It does not apply to private hire, special events, workshops, bundles, passes, subscriptions or other products unless Portree Sauna explicitly says otherwise.
Can I discount several seats in one booking?
No. The card is intended to discount one eligible seat for the named cardholder in a booking, unless Portree Sauna explicitly permits another use.
Can somebody else use my card?
No. Cards are personal, non-transferable and linked to the cardholder’s name and verified Skye address.
Does applying guarantee a card?
No. Applications are reviewed individually and remain subject to availability, Skye-residency checks and the scheme terms.
Can I combine this with another offer?
No. The Local Discount Card cannot be combined with another discount code, membership discount, pass or promotional offer on the same booking.
